How it works…

1. An incident has taken place in the main swimming pool, the life guard requires urgent assistance.
2. He presses the  Drown alarm attached to his chair.
3. Once pressed a signal is sent activating the pool siren alerting other near by.
4. T the same time, the main control panel sounds, alerting reception who see an emergency situation has occurred on poolside.
5. They contact  via radio and put out an announcement to staff who immediately go to poolside to help.
6. The appropriate first aid is completed, and the system is ready to be reset.
7. The DM enters his code or presents his tag and all components are reset.

This versatile alarm is highly powerful and is easy to operation with a push of the button. Once the alarm is activated it can be pushed any number of times without resetting or defaulting the alert. Because the panic alarm is wireless, it can be strapped or screwed to a lifeguard chair. This is advantageous as it means the lifeguard does not have to run to another location to sound the alarm. The lifeguard can push the alarm from his position and deal with the emergency straight away. Furthermore, this element of installing allows for the emergency alarm to travel to each location the chair is positioned, as chairs and Lifeguards are relocated to meet different swimming sessions - this way regardless of where the lifeguard is based – the alarm is also near by.

Our alarms are fully water proof, ideal for applications on pools and shower areas. The panic alarm is battery powered. Typical use would mean batteries only require changing every 5 years. However, when the time to change a battery is near, the unit will inform the main panel indicating this giving you plenty of warning.

The alarm works using a radio transmitter. The transmitter works on a high powered 868 MHz frequency,

which fires four codes for greater distance and penetration.  The unit has a compact design that does not ruin your décor, but remains clear as an alarm. The unit is printed with green signage to adhere to health and safety rules regarding alarms, as other colour such as red must be dedicated to fire alarms only. The unit is tamper protected – so should the alarm be open or disturbed, this will alert staff and be logged on the receiving system.
